Goals for our 22nd Annual AIDS Walk Portland range from generating greater community participation, activism, advocacy and education about HIV/AIDS, to increasing funding for vital services in our community. We need your energy, your participation and your presence to draw attention to how this critical issue affects every member of our community. Our vision is to utilize grassroots organizing by training and mobilizing a strong community effort in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
Please join us to take a stand for HIV/AIDS activism. On October 12th, more than 10,000 of us will come together in Pioneer Courthouse Square with the goal of raising $350,000 for services provided by Cascade AIDS Project to prevent new HIV infections, care for people affected and infected by HIV/AIDS, educate communities to eliminate stigma and shame and advocate for immediate action in combating the pandemic.
